Meet Pastor Deb

Deborah Ocasio, affectionately known as Pastor Deb, is an ordained minister, biblical teacher, trained Christian apologist, author, lyricist, and AI-assisted music producer with a passion for taking biblical truth beyond the walls of the traditional church.

As the pastoral successor of Bible Deliverance, Pastor Deb carries forward a ministry legacy while expanding its reach as a virtual “church without walls.” At the heart of her ministry is a simple but powerful mission: make the Word of God understandable, relatable, and livable.

A self-described Jersey-made, Philly-raised pastor, Pastor Deb brings biblical conviction together with transparency, wisdom, humor, and real-life application.

Deborah is especially passionate about reaching people who can easily be missed within traditional approaches to ministry; skeptics with questions they don't feel are being answered, unbelievers who may never consider walking through the doors of a church, believers who struggle to explain or discuss what they believe, and those wounded by church experiences who have vowed never to return.

Why a Church Without Walls?

For Bible Deliverance, “church without walls” isn't a new concept, it's part of its history. More than 50 years ago, Pastor Deb's father began Bible Deliverance quite literally without walls, holding services under a tent. Even after the ministry eventually secured a building, there were intentional seasons each year when services returned to the tent, taking ministry outside the walls to reach people where they were.

Today, Pastor Deb carries that same spirit forward in a different landscape.

As a trained Christian apologist and what she affectionately calls a “spiritual conversationalist,” she recognizes that many of the people who most need meaningful conversations about God may never enter a traditional church setting.

There are skeptics with sincere questions, unbelievers who are curious but cautious, and those carrying “church hurt” who have sworn never to walk through church doors again. For some, God and the church have become so synonymous that walking away from one has unintentionally meant walking away from both.

And then there are believers who love God but simply don't know how to have everyday conversations about their faith.

That is why Pastor Deb is passionate about sustaining Bible Deliverance as a church without walls — creating space for biblical truth to reach people wherever they are, while also helping believers become equipped to carry that truth wherever they go.

Because sometimes reaching beyond the walls means taking the church to the people.

And sometimes it means equipping the people in the church to take Christ beyond its walls.

Conversational Evangelism

Churches invest tremendous prayer, time, energy, creativity, and resources into encouraging people to come to church. Pastor Deb believes one of the Church's greatest evangelistic assets, however, is already sitting in the pews every Sunday.

They simply need to be equipped.

Every week, believers leave church and enter workplaces, neighborhoods, classrooms, families, restaurants, airports, grocery stores, social gatherings, and countless everyday situations where conversations about life, faith, pain, purpose, God, and truth naturally occur.

But many believers don't know what to say when those conversations happen.

What happens when someone asks, “How do you know God exists?” “Why should I trust the Bible?” “Why would a loving God allow suffering?” “Why do I need Jesus?” “What about all the hypocrisy in the church?”

That is where Pastor Deb's Conversational Evangelism initiative begins.

Designed for church training, workshops, and speaking engagements, Conversational Evangelism equips everyday believers to confidently and naturally engage questions, objections, skepticism, and rebuttals concerning Christianity with love, humor, wisdom, biblical understanding, and relatability.

It isn't about turning every believer into a theologian or teaching people how to win arguments. It's about helping Christians become comfortable enough with what they believe and why they believe it to listen without becoming defensive, respond without becoming combative, admit when they don't know an answer, and recognize opportunities to introduce biblical truth without forcing it into the conversation.

Because evangelism doesn't always begin behind a pulpit.

Sometimes it begins with, “That's a really good question.”

Ministry Beyond the Walls

For Pastor Deb, taking ministry beyond the walls means using every available avenue to make biblical truth accessible, relatable, and relevant.

Through Bible Deliverance, she teaches Scripture in ways that connect biblical truth to everyday life. Her Good Morning Truth podcast has produced more than 1,200 episodes, reaching listeners around the world with messages designed to challenge conventional thinking, encourage honest questions, and move people beyond inspiration toward understanding and transformation.

As an author, Pastor Deb has extended those conversations to the written page through books including Start Restart and A She Thang, using her signature blend of faith, transparency, humor, wisdom, and real-life application to meet readers where they are.

Music has become another significant extension of that mission. Through No Additives Sound, Pastor Deb serves as a lyricist and AI-assisted music producer, combining original songwriting, biblical teaching, creative direction, and emerging technology to create faith-centered music. With more than 200 music compilations available across major music-listening platforms, she continues to explore innovative ways to carry biblical messages into spaces a sermon may never reach.

Her signature approach, Bible Study With a Beat, reflects the heart behind it all: music can do more than entertain, it can teach, challenge, encourage, and create an unexpected doorway to conversations about God.

That vision continues through initiatives such as I’m Bound For Freedom, a faith-centered musical project created specifically to minister to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men and women through messages of hope, accountability, forgiveness, identity, purpose, restoration, and the freedom that can begin in Christ regardless of physical location.
